Zoë Rom is an American ultrarunner, journalist, and podcast host from Carbondale, Colorado who grew up in Fayetteville, Arkansas and earned a master's degree in environmental journalism in Boulder before joining Trail Runner Magazine, where she now serves as Editor-in-Chief, and co-manages Women's Running as Managing Editor. She hosts the DNF Podcast and is co-author, with Tina Muir, of Becoming a Sustainable Runner, and her journalism has appeared in Outside, Backpacker, Discover, and REI Co-op Journal. Coached by David Roche, she has competed at the national elite level for several years, finishing second at the Leadville Trail 100 in 2024 in just under 21:28 — making her one of the sport's most prominent athlete-journalist figures.
