Urs Jenzer is a Swiss ultrarunner born in 1970 in Frutigen, in the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland. A veteran competitor on the European mountain trail circuit, he is best known for winning the Eiger Ultra Trail E51 in 2014 and defending his title in 2015, prevailing against strong international fields beneath the north face of the Eiger. A multiple Swiss trail champion, Jenzer has demonstrated exceptional longevity in the sport, maintaining competitive UTMB Index scores into his mid-forties and regularly placing among the leading Swiss athletes on the European ultra-trail scene.
