Toni McCann is a professional trail and ultrarunning athlete born 25 February 1994 in Durban, South Africa. She played field hockey at provincial level and was selected for the KwaZulu-Natal national team in 2012 before studying Human Physiology and Biochemistry at the University of Cape Town. After graduating she committed to trail running full-time, relocating to Annecy, France to train in the Alps. In 2023 she became the first South African to win the OCC by UTMB (55 km, from Orsières to Chamonix), and a year later won the CCC by UTMB (100 km) in 11:57:59, joining a handful of athletes to have won both races. She has won eight races across two years and is considered the leading new force in women's UTMB World Series competition. An adidas Terrex athlete supported by Suunto and Red Bull, she also coaches endurance runners through the Flat Rock Endurance coaching group.
