Sylvaine Cussot

Sylvaine Cussot — known as 'Sissi' in the French trail running community — is a French trail runner originally from Le Mans, in the Sarthe region, who now lives in the south of France having moved there after completing her studies, spending time in Toulouse and then Uzès. She has been running since the age of ten, when she received her first athletics license for track and field, and discovered trail running in 2013 — a turning point after which, she says, she has run nothing else. Her three victories at the Éco-Trail de Paris 80km (2016, 2018, and 2021) established her as one of France's most consistent ultra trail performers. In 2025 she won the Swiss Canyon Trail women's 81K race in 10:10. She has also competed at the Diagonale des Fous on La Réunion island, finishing 12th woman in 2025. A Meltonic-supported athlete with a UTMB Index of 641, she continues to race consistently across the European ultra trail circuit.
