Sylvain Court (born 21 October 1983 in Draguignan, Provence) is a French trail runner and 2015 World Trail Running Champion who arrived at the sport via a distinguished career in mountain biking — he was champion of the Var and Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur regions and received multiple selections for the French national MTB championships. He discovered trail running in 2009 at the Montcalm marathon in the Pyrenees and made rapid progress. His defining moment came at the 2015 World Trail Running Championships in Annecy-le-Vieux, where he won the 85km race in 8 hours 16 minutes while serving as a senior corporal in France's elite Air Commando CPA 30 unit in Bordeaux — combining rigorous military service with world-class athletic performance. Beyond that centrepiece, he has won the Éco-Trail de Paris Île-de-France (2013), the Laka course three times (2012, 2013, 2016), Trail de Méribel twice (2016, 2018), and the Trail Sainte Victoire.
