About
Sylvain Camus is a French trail runner from the south of France who came to the sport via road cycling and mountain biking competition, transitioning alongside his brother Sébastien, who founded the Garmin Adventure Team. Together they began competing in the Raid du Mercantour adventure race from 2001 before Sylvain committed more fully to trail ultra running. Their father Pascal also participates in ultratrail events, making trail running a genuine family pursuit. Sylvain's career highlight is a 2nd-place finish at the 2017 CCC (Courmayeur-Champex-Chamonix) at UTMB week — the 101km traverse of the western Alps — and he holds a UTMB Index of 798. A Garmin-supported athlete, he continues to race at the 80–100km ultra distance.
