About
Siu-Keung Tsang — known as 'Stone Tsang' — is one of the defining figures of trail running in Asia, having competed at the highest level for over two decades while simultaneously serving as a paramedic in the Hong Kong Fire Service Department. He moved to Hong Kong as a teenager and built a career spanning elite competition and community-building across the region. The first Hong Kong Chinese athlete to win the Action Asia Challenge, he ranked 8th and 10th in the Ultra Trail World Tour year-end standings in 2014 and 2015, and has appeared in the UTMB top-20 three times. His Hong Kong race victories include The North Face 100 HK and Vibram HK100, and his international results include winning the Ultra Trail Mount Rosa in Europe in 2017 and finishing 4th at the Hong Kong Four Trails Ultra Challenge (298km) in 56:25 in 2020. In 2020 he also set a Fastest Known Time on Hong Kong's iconic 78km Wilson Trail in 9:59:16. In 2017 he launched Little Stones, a trail conservation initiative that restores Hong Kong's trails using natural materials to prevent the use of concrete on natural paths, and in 2022 he authored the first Chinese-language book on ultra trail running — contributions to the sport that extend far beyond his race record.
