Seth Ruhling is an American ultrarunner from Virginia and The North Face-sponsored athlete who delivered one of 2025's standout performances by winning the Black Canyon 100k in a stunning new course record of 7:24:55, breaking Hayden Hawks's previous record by over five minutes. A two-time JFK 50 Mile champion (2019, 2022) who has also competed at the CCC by UTMB, Ruhling built his elite career while dealing with a heart condition that required careful monitoring during the 2022 season. Named #6 in the 2025 Worldwide UltraRunner of the Year standings, he is one of the most promising American ultra talents of his generation.
