About
Ryan Sandes (born March 10, 1982, Cape Town) is South Africa's most decorated trail and ultra runner and a long-time Red Bull athlete. He won the Leadville 100 (2011) and Western States 100 (2017) and, with partner Ryno Griesel, set FKTs on the 209-kilometre Drakensberg Grand Traverse (41h 49m, 2014) and the 1,504-kilometre Great Himalaya Trail (24 days 4 hours, 2018).
