Renée Hamel is a Quebec-based Canadian trail ultrarunner and running coach whose competitive career has taken her from the mountain trails of her home province to some of the world's most demanding long-distance races. She has run the legendary Québec Mega Trail 100 miles — a storied event on the Eastern Canadian ultra calendar — and competed internationally at the Annapurna Trail Running 100K in Nepal, a Golden Trail Series affiliated event. A believer that the joy of running should be central to the experience, her coaching philosophy reflects the same values that drive her own racing: growth through challenge and pleasure on the trails. She is a recognised voice in the Quebec running community both as a competitor and as a coach.
