About
Paul Giblin is a plant-based elite ultrarunner and coach based in Glasgow, Scotland, who came to ultrarunning from a mountain bike racing background — he had run only three 10km races before entering his first ultra. A GB representative, he is particularly associated with Scotland's West Highland Way Race (95 miles), which he won three consecutive times in 2013, 2014, and 2015, setting the course record each year: 15:07:29, 14:20:11, and 14:14:44 — the first person to achieve a hat-trick of wins at that race. He has also won the Javelina 100 (2015) and the ALUT-Algarviana Ultra Trail (2019), placed fifth at Western States 100, and represented Great Britain in international competition. He founded Pyllon in 2014, building it into one of the UK's most respected ultra coaching organisations.
