About
Natalia Sedykh is a Russian ultra-trail specialist born in 1988 who rose to international prominence with a dominant performance at the 2016 Marathon des Sables, the iconic six-stage 250km self-sufficiency desert race across the Moroccan Sahara. She became the first Russian woman to win the MDS in over two decades, winning every stage except the long stage and finishing in the top ten overall — a remarkable combined achievement across the entire field. She also won the 2017 Oman Desert Marathon. Following the peak of her competitive career, she transitioned into coaching as a certified fitness, running, and nutrition coach, relocating to the UAE where she works as a personal trainer.
