Mike Lavery is an Australian ultrarunner who has competed at the HOKA Ultra-Trail Australia by UTMB, one of Australia's most celebrated and technically demanding mountain ultra events. The UTA100 traverses the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains National Park across 100 kilometres of sandstone plateau, sheer escarpments, and valley floor singletrack through some of New South Wales' most spectacular wilderness terrain — a course demanding both technical mountain running ability and the endurance to manage 4,250 metres of cumulative elevation gain, with its most punishing kilometres saved for the final approach to the finish at Scenic World, Katoomba.
