Michael Versteeg is an Arizona ultrarunner and FKT specialist from Prescott who spent years quietly setting records on some of the American Southwest's most demanding routes before bursting onto the mainstream scene. He held the supported FKT on the 830-mile Arizona Trail for nearly five years and completed a Pinhoti Trail FKT in the weeks before his signature achievement: winning the inaugural Cocodona 250 in 2021, crossing the finish in Flagstaff in 72 hours 50 minutes. Described as an athlete with both the speed for fast 100-milers and the mental fortitude for extreme multi-day FKTs, he races for Salomon and Satisfy Running and remains a fixture at the Cocodona start line.
