About
Michael McKnight is an American ultrarunner and coach from northern Utah nicknamed the 'King of 200s' — a title earned by winning more 200-mile races than any other athlete in the world. In 2019 he became the first person to win all three races of the Triple Crown of 200s (Bigfoot, Tahoe, and Moab 240) in a single calendar year, setting course records at all three and completing 650 miles of racing in 205 hours. His path was defined by a 2012 ski accident that shattered his L1 vertebrae and required spinal fusion, yet he was competing at ultra distance within a year. He holds the Colorado Trail FKT (2020) and the Arizona Monster 300 course record, and won the 2023 Cocodona 250 in a comeback after fracturing his hip.
