Martina Trimmel is an Austrian trail runner from the Pielachtal region of Lower Austria who balances a professional career at Voith-Hydro with competitive mountain running. She came to trail running through a background in mountaineering and high-alpine touring, first competing seriously after her partner encouraged her to enter the Ötscher Ultratrail, where she placed second in her age group. She has since built a strong track record in Austrian and regional ultra events, with victories at the Hochkönigman, the mozart100, and the Gletscher-Trailrun in Obergurgl. In winter she completes ski tours and in summer runs mountain routes, with broader alpinist ambitions that include technical objectives such as the Großglockner and Matterhorn.
