Manon Campano

About

Manon Campano is a French trail runner and professional firefighter (Sapeur-Pompière de Paris) who joined the Brigade de Sapeurs-Pompiers de Paris in 2008 at the age of 18, becoming one of the first women in the brigade to undergo the same physical training as the men. Her sporting background began in gymnastics before she pivoted to trail and mountain running. She is sponsored by Merrell and has since reduced her firefighting hours to devote more time to competitive racing. Balancing the demands of professional life and motherhood — she is a mother of three — she has built a consistent career on the international trail circuit. In 2025 she placed 2nd female at the Grand Raid de la Réunion - La Diagonale des Fous, one of the most iconic and brutal trail races in the world, covering 175 kilometres of volcanic terrain on Réunion Island. Her UTMB Index is 678.
