Luke Paulson is an American trail ultrarunner from Asheville, North Carolina, where he serves as General Manager, Buyer, and Marketing Lead at Jus' Running, the city's landmark specialty running store. Originally from the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill triangle, he relocated to the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina to pursue his passion for mountain trails and healthy food. Nicknamed Dirt King by Blue Ridge Outdoors magazine, he has built one of the most consistent résumés in southeastern US ultrarunning, with wins at the Shut-In Ridge Trail Run, Stump Jump 50K, Mount Cheaha 50K, Mount Taylor 50K, Yamacraw 50K, and the 40-mile Mount Mitchell Challenge. On the national stage he placed 3rd at the JFK 50 Mile, 2nd at the Leadville Trail 100, and won the UROC 100K in 9:13 — bettering defending champion Tyler Sigl by 20 minutes. He also serves as race director for the Flying Squirrel 10-Miler in Asheville each spring.
