About

Lotti Brinks is a professional trail runner for Salomon, based in Boise, Idaho, who has emerged as one of the most exciting rising stars in North American ultrarunning. Originally from Germany, she came to the United States to study industrial design, remained after graduation, and now runs a design consultancy with her husband alongside her professional running career. She came to ultra distances late, describing herself as a 5k runner who once thought anything beyond a half marathon was "crazy." The progression has been rapid: in 2023 she won the Grindstone 100K — a prestigious Golden Ticket qualifying race — to earn her entry to the 2024 Western States 100, where she made her 100-mile debut. She followed that season with victories at The Big Alta 50K and Gorge Waterfalls 100K in 2024, confirming her status as a genuine long-distance force. Coached by ultrarunning legend Patrick Reagan, Brinks combines a creative mind with a quietly competitive racing style that has made her a firm favourite among fans of the sport.
