Lara Crivelli is an Italian trail runner from the Verbania area of Piedmont who came to running as a means of managing stress from a demanding office career and swiftly discovered an aptitude for the mountains that went far beyond recreational therapy. Affiliated with Fidal Avis Marathon Verbania, she started with local evening road races before the sport's pull became undeniable, and her progression into trail and ultra terrain was rapid. A member of the Vibram Trailrunning Team, Crivelli has raced at the sport's most prestigious venues: she finished second in the women's field at the OCC (Orsières–Champex–Chamonix), the 55-kilometre UTMB World Series race with 3,500 metres of elevation gain, crossing in 7:34:06. She has also competed in the 119-kilometre TDS at UTMB, one of the event's most demanding courses, and taken victory at the Maremontana trail race. Her story is one of athletic transformation — from desk to elite mountain start lines within just a few seasons.
