Karolina Wierzchowiak

Karolina Wierzchowiak is a Polish ultrarunner, attorney, and running coach who has competed in more than 66 countries on every continent — treating global trail racing as simultaneously a sporting pursuit and a personal geography project. A lawyer by training and profession, she has also built a coaching practice and organises running camps, bringing a systematic discipline to training others that mirrors her own competitive approach. Her racing résumé spans the Alps, the Dolomites, and the Atlantic coast of Africa: third place at the La Sportiva Lavaredo Ultra Trail 120km in 2025 (16:19:57) through the Italian Dolomites, eighth at the TDS by UTMB in 2025, and results at the CCC by UTMB (101km, 15:30:46 in 2024) and the Istria 100 by UTMB (110km, 13:35:48). She is married, lives with her husband Jara and their adopted shelter dog Tobias — who has since become an enthusiastic running companion — and describes herself as an 'ambitious amateur runner' whose identity in the sport remains grounded in its community and adventure as much as its competition.
