About

Juliette Blanchet is a French trail and ultrarunner based in Grenoble and one of France's most durable and consistent competitors at the sport's longest and most demanding mountain distances. Originally from Paris, she was a competitive handball player before relocating to Grenoble and discovering trail running in the surrounding massifs — Belledonne, Chartreuse, and the Vercors providing the training ground for a career that would take her to the podium of trail running's most prestigious events. A member of Taillefer Trail Team and former Team Vibram athlete, she rose to international prominence through a sequence of landmark results: winning the Ultra Ardéchois in 2014, finishing second at the Diagonale des Fous the same year, third at the TDS by UTMB in 2015, and fourth at UTMB Mont-Blanc in 2016 (27:37:18 — first senior woman and second French female overall). Combining trail racing with cross-country skiing and ski mountaineering in winter, she has remained a committed and active presence on the French and European ultra circuit into the 2020s, completing the 100 Miles Pyrénées Méditerranée in 2025.
