About
Julia Davis is a British trail ultrarunner based in Cornwall who came to competitive running unusually late — she ran her first marathon at age 28 after just three weeks of preparation, finishing in 3:35 — and rapidly advanced to the podium of international ultra racing. Under the guidance of coach Robbie Britton she developed a 2:39 road marathon personal best alongside a trail ultra career, setting the still-standing women's course record at the South Downs Way 50 (6:54:26) in her debut at the distance. She won the three-day Coast Ultra Xtreme multi-day event and represented Great Britain in the short trail event at the World Mountain and Trail Running Championships, claiming a bronze medal in her first-ever 100km race at age 37 — a landmark result at the sport's highest level. Davis is also a Centurion Running coach, applying her experience to support trail athletes of all levels. She continued training through pregnancy and returned to racing post-partum, embodying the resilience and adaptability that trail ultrarunning demands.
