Jhon Barrera is a Colombian trail runner and one of South America's most accomplished performers on the international ultra circuit. He placed third at the 2025 Kodiak Ultra Marathons by UTMB — a 162km race with 4,850m of elevation gain — in 17:29:53, and ninth overall at The Canyons 100 Mile Endurance Runs by UTMB in 19:01:27 earlier the same year. He placed 27th at the CCC by UTMB and qualified directly for the 2024 UTMB World Series Finals, while also winning the DEL MAR A LA CIMA 110k Ultra Teyuna on home soil in Colombia in 2025. With a UTMB Index of 821, Barrera is among the most competitive South American athletes on the global trail running circuit.
