About
Jeff Colt is an American mountain and trail runner from the Roaring Fork Valley in Colorado, originally from the White Mountains of New Hampshire, where his competitive instincts were shaped by skiing and alpine running. He moved west in 2016 and immediately won the Grand Traverse Mountain Run 40-miler on his first major western ultra. He went on to win Bandera 100km in 2023 and shatter the High Lonesome 100 course record by 50 minutes. A member of the USA team that took gold in the men's 80K at the 2022 Trail and Mountain Running World Championships, he has been one of the most consistent American performers at Western States — 11th in 2022 (16:51) and 8th in 2023 (15:42) — while also coaching at the Trail Conference.
