About
Jasmin Paris MBE is a British ultrarunner, small-animal vet, and senior lecturer at the University of Edinburgh's Royal Dick School of Veterinary Studies. In 2024 she became the first woman in history to complete the Barkley Marathons, finishing in 59:58:21 — just 99 seconds inside the 60-hour cut-off. A former Skyrunner World Series Sky Extreme champion (2016) and national fell running champion, she won the 268-mile Montane Spine Race in 2019 while stopping to pump breast milk for her 14-month-old daughter — a feat that captured global headlines. She holds course records on both the Bob Graham Round and the Ramsay Round, and was appointed MBE in the 2024 Birthday Honours for services to fell and long-distance running.
