About
Hélène Dassy is a Belgian trail runner from Namur who became one of the most celebrated breakthrough performers of the 2025 UTMB season after finishing second in the women's race at the TDS by UTMB — the 153km, 9,000m Tour des Dômes de Savoie from Courmayeur to Chamonix — in 24:23:23. She began trail running only in 2023, competing with Biotrail club under the coaching of her partner Renan Gossiaux, and had never completed an ultra longer than 114km before entering the TDS. That 114km came at the Ultra Tour du Beaufortain, which she won in July 2024 — her first major ultra victory and her first race beyond 100 kilometres. To then podium at one of the UTMB World Series' most demanding 150km mountain events, having taken up the sport only two years prior, was considered one of the most extraordinary debut results of the 2025 ultra season. She also won her 30-34 age category at the TDS and was subsequently considering representing Belgium at the 2025 Trail World Championships in Canfranc, Spain.
