About
Guidu Qin is a Chinese elite trail runner, physical education teacher, and former firefighter from Chongqing who has emerged as one of the most exciting talents in Asian and global ultra-trail running. Born around 1993, he competed in his first trail race in 2016 — a 25 km event in Jinzhai county, Anhui province — placing sixth in a result that ignited his dedication to the sport. He serves as head coach of the triathlon and mountain trail running team at Chongqing College of Mobile Communication, and in 2023 joined Team Vibram. On the international circuit his breakthrough came at the 2023 Ultra-Trail Mount Yun in China, where he claimed his first UTMB World Series victory. His defining result came in January 2026, when he won the men's title at the Anta Guanjun Hong Kong 100 — the World Trail Majors season opener — in 8 hours 52 minutes 36 seconds, a performance that elevated his ITRA Performance Index to 919 and placed him among the top three trail runners in Asia. He also finished second at the 2026 Ultra-Trail Australia and won the 2025 Ultra-Trail Shudao 50K. He competes for the Outopia team.
