His national breakthrough came at the GPT 100 Miler at the 2025 Grampians Peaks Trail event, where he ran stride-for-stride with American international Caleb Olson for over 50 kilometres before finishing second overall in 23:16:07 — simultaneously claiming the Australian Miler Championship and moving to number one in the world U23 100-mile rankings.
