Federica Boifava is an Italian trail runner representing the Montura team who was one of Italy's most competitive women on the Dolomite and mountain ultra circuit across a decade of racing from 2010 through the early 2020s. Racing on the technical terrain of northeastern Italy's most iconic trail courses, she placed second in the women's field at the 2013 Lavaredo Ultra Trail — one of Italy's most prestigious long-distance mountain events, run through the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites near Cortina d'Ampezzo — and demonstrated consistent strength on the demanding 50–100km courses that define Italian mountain ultra racing. Her victories include the Dolomiti Extreme Trail 53km in 2015, and she finished first among the women at the Dolomiti Extreme Trail 103K in 2023, evidence of an ability to produce results at the front of the field deep into her athletic career. She has also competed at the Tor des Géants and Transvulcania, extending her reach beyond Italy's domestic circuit onto the international mountain ultra stage. A Montura team athlete with a career spanning more than thirteen years of competitive trail racing, Boifava is one of the more experienced and accomplished Italian women on the Alpine mountain ultra circuit.
