About

Erin Clark is an American professional trail and ultra runner born on December 28, 1994 in Eugene, Oregon, who spent her formative athletic years as one of the country's finest collegiate middle and long-distance runners before transitioning to trail racing. Raised in Eugene, she won two OSAA state cross country championships and went to the University of Colorado Boulder, where she became a 13-time NCAA Division I All-American and three-time Pac-12 Conference champion, earning degrees in Biology and Education. After graduating she trained under Ben Rosario at Northern Arizona Elite and represented the US at the 2018 and 2019 Track and Field Championships before injuries redirected her to the trails. Relocating to Missoula, Montana in 2020 and signing with Nike Trail, she earned a Golden Ticket at Bandera 100K in 2021 before winning Lake Sonoma 50 Mile in 2023 in 7:49:27 — securing a spot on the USA 80km Team for the 2023 World Mountain and Trail Running Championships in Innsbruck. She has competed from 50km to 100 miles across North America and Europe, holds a UTMB Index of 767, and serves as assistant cross country and track coach at the University of Montana, where she trains and lives with her partner, ultrarunner Adam Peterman.
