About
Erika Lori is an Australian ultra trail runner and physiotherapist from Perth, Western Australia who has competed in international ultra races for more than a decade. She grew up running cross country and represented the state team in high school, then was drawn to ultramarathons after completing a mountain run in Switzerland. She caught international attention at the 2018 Tarawera Ultramarathon in New Zealand, finishing 3rd overall in 10 hours and 53 minutes in challenging rain and mud conditions. In October 2021 she set the Fastest Known Time for the Bibbulmun Track, running the full 1,003 km from Albany to Kalamunda in Western Australia in 10 days and 19 hours — demolishing the previous record by more than 8 hours — and raising approximately $5,000 for the Blue Tree Project, an Australian mental health awareness charity. She works as a physiotherapist at the North Metropolitan Health Service in Perth.
