Erik Clavery (born 7 June 1980 in Coutances, Normandy, France) is a French trail runner, mental performance coach, and motivational speaker who became the first-ever IAU Trail World Champion when he won the inaugural Trail World Championships in Connemara, Ireland in 2011. A full-time trail runner since 2008, his competitive range is remarkable: wins at SaintéLyon (2011), Éco-Trail de Paris Île-de-France (2012), and Grand to Grand Ultra (2017); top-5 Marathon des Sables finishes including 5th in Morocco (2016) and 3rd in Peru (2017); and top-10 UTMB finishes (6th and 8th). He became French 24-hour road running champion in 2018 (254.264 km) and set the French 24-hour record in 2019 (272.217 km). In 2020 he set a new record for the GR10 trans-Pyrenees crossing (9 days, 9 hours, 12 minutes). Alongside his racing career he works as a mental performance coach and public speaker.
