Emma Timmis is a British ultra-distance runner, coach, and keynote speaker based in New Zealand who holds multiple Guinness World Records for endurance achievements. In 2021–22 she became the fastest person ever to run the length of New Zealand on foot, covering over 2,000 km in 20 days, 17 hours, 15 minutes and 57 seconds — breaking the previous women's record by 15 days. In 2023 she set the Guinness World Record for greatest distance on a treadmill in 48 hours (340.36 km), and in 2024 she set the world record for greatest distance on a treadmill in one week (846.16 km). She was also the first woman ever to run the 1,500-mile length of South Africa's Freedom Trail. A qualified ultra marathon coach, visual artist, and keynote speaker, she uses her record-breaking endeavours to advocate for adventure and mental resilience.
