About
Emelie Tina Forsberg (born 11 December 1986 in Noraström, Kramfors Municipality, Sweden) is widely regarded as one of the greatest skyrunners in history, having dominated the Skyrunner World Series Ultra division for years while combining elite mountain running with ski mountaineering. She grew up near the Swedish High Coast and moved to the mountains at 18 to work at Storulvån Mountain Lodge in the Åre Ski Area, emerging as one of the sport's most dominant forces. Between 2013 and 2015 she won nearly every race in the Skyrunner World Series Ultra — the sole exception a 2nd place at the 2014 Trofeo Kima after a wrong turn cost her over an hour. Major victories include the Dolomites Skyrace, Pikes Peak Marathon (2012), Transvulcania Ultramarathon (2013 and multiple subsequent editions), and Glen Coe Skyline (2017). The partner of Kilian Jornet and mother of three children, in 2019 she co-founded Moonvalley, a vegan nutrition brand, alongside Ida Nilsson and Mimmi Kotka. She continues to compete internationally at the elite level.
