About
Dana Anderson is an American ultrarunner and certified running coach who came to trail racing as a road-running convert, running her first ultra — a 50K in the foothills of Utah's Wasatch Mountains — in October 2014. She progressed quickly through the sport, and in 2015 won the women's division of the Javelina Jundred 100-Miler in Fountain Hills, Arizona, in 21:03:13 on her very first attempt at 100 miles. The Javelina Jundred, a celebrated loop race through McDowell Mountain Regional Park in the Sonoran Desert, is one of the most competitive 100-milers on the American calendar. Anderson subsequently built a coaching practice alongside her racing, offering training programmes from marathons and stage races through to first-time 100-mile attempts via her UltraU Fitness platform. She has completed more than 30 ultramarathon events across the full range of ultra distances and believes in experimental, data-driven approaches to training and race preparation.
