About

Caroline Chaverot is a French ultrarunner and high school geography and history teacher in Geneva who produced one of the most dominant seasons in the history of elite trail running in 2016, winning 11 of 12 ultra-distance races she entered — including UTMB Mont-Blanc and the IAU Trail World Championships. A multi-sport athlete with a background in kayaking and climbing, she also won the Skyrunning World Championships Ultra and Transgrancanaria in 2016, and added the Hardrock 100 Endurance Run in 2017. A thyroid condition curtailed her later career, leading to her retirement in 2019, after which she was inducted as a UTMB Legend. The mother of three remains one of the most revered figures in women's ultra-trail running history.
