Canyon Woodward is an American ultrarunner who stands among the top-ranked US performers at both 100-mile and 100k distances, with back-to-back top-3 American finishes at UTMB Mont-Blanc. Outside running, he works as a political campaign manager and served as campaign director for Chloe Maxmin when she became the youngest woman ever elected to Maine’s House of Representatives in 2018. On the trails, he has trained under David Roche for five years, building a 2025 season that included four wins and three course records across eight races. At the 2025 Javelina Jundred he placed third in 12:19:58 — a time that would have broken the previous course record — finishing less than two minutes behind Roche himself; Roche subsequently passed his Western States Golden Ticket to Woodward in recognition of the performance. Woodward competed in the 2026 Western States 100 elite field.
