About

Brian Condon is an American trail runner and running coach based in Boulder, Colorado, who grew up in Wisconsin and ran in high school and then collegiately at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse before pursuing competitive ultrarunning in the mountains of the American West. A Salomon athlete, he races across a range spanning 3,000-metre track events to 100-mile mountain runs, with Western States 100 — which he cites as his proudest race — at the apex of his competitive ambitions. His results database spans over a decade, including podium finishes at the Ice Age Trail 50 Mile in Wisconsin (2nd in 2013 in 6:07:49; 3rd in 2014 in 5:58:24), finishes at the Canyons Endurance Runs 100K, Golden Gate Dirty 30, and The North Face Endurance Challenge Wisconsin, and a top-30 finish at Black Canyon 100K in 2023. Beyond racing, Condon founded Uplift Running, a personalised remote coaching service for athletes at all distances, and spent five years coaching high school cross country and track. He trains and lives in Boulder, Colorado, favouring the high trails of the Indian Peaks and Rocky Mountain National Park. His coaching philosophy draws directly on his own experience of racing everything from fast collegiate track to multi-day mountain 100s.
