About
Anna Frost (born 1 November 1981) is a New Zealand trail runner and adventure athlete who turned professional in 2004 and became one of the defining figures in women's mountain and ultra trail racing during the 2010s. A Salomon-sponsored competitor, she first rose to global prominence by winning the 2010 Skyrunner World Series, before dominating the Transvulcania Ultramarathon — winning in consecutive years (2012 and 2013), her 2012 victory setting the women's course record in 8:11:31. She extended into 100-mile racing by winning the Bear 100M in 2014 on her first attempt at the distance, then qualified for and won the Hardrock 100 twice. In 2015 she became one of the first two women ever to complete Nolan's 14 in Colorado — 95+ miles linking 14 fourteeners with over 44,000 feet of elevation gain. Known for her infectious joy in the mountains, Frost and her husband Ron 'Braz' Braselton operate Trail Run Adventures, offering guided running trips to spectacular mountain destinations worldwide.
