About
Amandine Ginoувès is a French trail runner, biologist, and clinical project manager from La Gaude near Nice who arrived on the Côte d'Azur in 2002 to complete a doctorate in biology and has spent her career balancing demanding professional work — and raising three children — with quietly building an elite mountain ultra résumé. She has been licensed with ASPTT Nice for fifteen years, competing primarily in regional and national events, before surging onto the world stage at the 2022 HOKA Val d'Aran by UTMB, where she won on only her second attempt at the 100-mile distance, describing the Pyrenean course as 'absolutely beautiful.' In the same year she finished second at the Grand Raid de la Réunion Diagonale des Fous in 32:03:18 — one of the world's most prestigious mountain ultra races. Her combination of scientific discipline, late entry into elite competition, and rapid ascent to major international results make her one of trail running's most distinctive profiles.
