Álex García Carrillo is a Spanish mountain and trail runner from Redován, Alicante — based in Murcia — who holds a degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences and has become one of his country’s most decorated mountain running champions. A four-time Spanish national champion across mountain races (2022, 2023), trail running (2024), and vertical climb (2025), he also won the world bronze medal in the vertical climb at the 2022 World Mountain Running Championships — becoming the first Spanish individual international medalist outside traditional marathon and ultra distances. He won the Cortina Skyrace 20km at Lavaredo Ultra Trail 2021 and holds a half marathon PB of 1:04:08, reflecting the exceptional road-speed base that underpins his mountain performances.
