Ailsa MacDonald is a Canadian ultrarunner and distance triathlete born in Stirling, Scotland, who grew up in Nova Scotia and is now based in St. Albert, Alberta. She finished second at the Western States 100 in 2022, won the Tarawera 100-mile in 2020, and is a Canadian national champion at 100 miles, all while working full-time in Northern Alberta's oil industry. A Saucony-sponsored athlete who holds six course records, MacDonald is one of Canada's greatest ultra-distance athletes and an inspiration for those who balance elite performance with professional life.
